Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to finish the job?
Most residential jobs can be completed in a day, dependent on how many linnear metres need to be laid. Please be aware that due to the nature of working with concrete, outdoor work can not be carried out on rainy days. We generally like to start jobs at 7.30 in the morning and your booking may be moved around in the event of rain.
Will the concrete kerbs crack or fade?
All concrete cracks over time. We use fibrecrete in ALL our mixes. For enhanced flexural strength, fatigue resistance, improved wear resistance and crack control, tiny fibreglass slivers are mixed through the concrete. We also cut expansion joints into your kerbing, so that when cracking eventually occurs, it is at these controlled points of weakness.
Depending on exposure to the sun, the finish will fade slightly, however this will take many years of intense exposure to direct sunlight. We can always come back and recoat the finish of our own work, or that of others.
How do I maintain the product?
There is virtually no maintainence to your Kerbing Kings product. Just enjoy it.
What areas do you service?
We focus on the Warwick and surrounding areas and also the Sunshine Coast areas. However we are happy to travel further afield to do our work. Just phone us and ask, or send us an email and we will phone you back.
How does the price compare with other edging options?
When compared to most edging options such as stone and masonary, Kerbing Kings offer an economical alternative that looks better. Often the completed Kerbing Kings job works out to cost just a little bit more than the material cost alone of the other options.
What do I need to do before you arrive to do the job?
Please ensure that any obstacles are removed prior to our arrival. It would help if any overhanging shrubs be pruned back slightly. Do not walk on your new kerbing for at least 2 days. Please ensure that children and pets are kept well away from the kerbing over this time as well. Concrete takes about 30 days to fully harden, so it would be advisable not to drive over it or use a whipper-snipper or mower near your new kerbing for the first month.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, cheque and credit card on completion of the job. Please note, that due to administrative and bank fees, a 5% surcharge will be added to any credit card payments.
